One of the issues with getting married in Texas is how big this state is—meaning you have dozens upon dozens of options when it comes to planning your wedding. The decision fatigue is so real! So, as your resident Fredericksburg wedding photographer, I want to help organize all the information so you feel less overwhelmed, starting with wedding venue choices! In this blog, I’m outlining my absolute favorite Fredericksburg wedding venues.

11 Incredible Fredericksburg TX Wedding Venues 

Camp Hideaway

We are starting off strong with one of my all-time favorite venues, not just in Fredericksburg, but in the entire surrounding area—including San Antonio and Austin. Camp Hideaway is exactly what it sounds like: an escape from the everyday. You get indoor and outdoor venue options, gorgeous Hill Country views, and on-site lodging to extend your celebration. 

Camp Hideaway has three locations, one in Fredericksburg, Gruene, and Spicewood. I’m most familiar with the one in Fredericksburg (hence its place on this blog), and can wholeheartedly recommend the venue, the team, and the overall experience. Contigo Ranch 

Contigo Ranch is a great venue for couples who love the Hill Country but don’t want their wedding to feel too rustic. This venue is famous for ceremonies on the bluff with panoramic views of the Hill Country. You can get married inside or outside (though I recommend outside because just look at the photos below), and host wedding-adjacent events like welcome and rehearsal dinners in the refurbished barn! This is another venue with on-site lodging, which gives you the flexibility to host an entire weekend instead of just one day.

La Bonne Vie Ranch 

This is where elegance meets Texas charm. La Bonne Vie Ranch sits on over 200 acres of land and features rolling pastures, vineyards, and luxurious on-site lodging. My favorite part of this property, however, is the open-air cathedral. With vaulted ceilings, chandeliers, and gorgeous stained glass windows, the cathedral is a jaw dropping location for your ceremony. You can get amazing sunset portraits literally anywhere on the property, and then enjoy air-conditioned dinner and dancing in the reception venue with high ceilings and large windows for lots of natural light. 

The Albert Hotel 

The Albert Hotel is another favorite of mine. Located right in Downtown Fredericksburg, this hotel feels secluded and private despite being only a stone’s-throw away from the shopping, dining, and entertainment on Austin St. It’s the ideal location for a wedding weekend, since you have everything you need right there! And I can personally vouch for the events team. They are such a pleasure to work with and go above and beyond every time. Get married on the courtyard, or inside with the large glass windows, and enjoy an epic reception entrance while coming down the grand staircase! The Lodge at Country Inn Cabins 

If you love the idea of a chapel wedding, but aren’t super keen on the idea of church, The Lodge at Country Inn Cabins has one of the prettiest chapels in the area. It’s clean and modern, meaning it can fit into any kind of ceremony. The large windows let in the prettiest light, and the reception space is largely blank so you can make it whatever you want! 

Swallows Eve 

I love the sheer diversity of Swallows Eve. Planning something intimate? Gather around the concrete outdoor fireplace that manages to feel clean and modern while still being cozy. Having a larger celebration? The open air chapel overlooking the Hill Country allows for up to 200 guests. The reception barn feels classic, rather than rustic, and you can adapt each space to fit your needs and truly customize every element. 

Willow Sky Ranch 

Tucked away just outside of Fredericksburg, this sweet venue is rustic and vintage in all the best ways. The old farmhouse has plenty of getting ready space, and the reception hall is styled after a classic Hill Country dance hall. There’s lots of open space for your ceremony, cocktail hour, and portraits. If you’re looking for something quintessentially Texas with all the charm that Fredericksburg wedding venues should have, you’ve found it in Willow Sky Ranch! 

Dos Palomas Ranch

Dos Palomas Ranch is classic Hill Country hospitality at its finest. The Ranch is tucked away on 300 private acres with access to the Guadalupe River (if you’re up for a little off-roading). Between the jaw dropping views at the overlook and the cutest vintage greenhouse, there are so many incredible options for your ceremony. You can have your cocktail hour and reception outside on the lawn with the checkered patio, or inside with vaulted ceilings and exposed wooden beams. The silo-inspired bar is one of my favorite touches, making the farmhouse vibes feel elegant and luxe. 

Sendara Springs 

Sendara Springs is an effortlessly elegant venue near Kerrville, Texas. The stone fireplace, large patio overlooking the river, and well-lit getting ready spaces make the venue feel grand without feeling imposing. But most of all, what I love about this venue is the space to breathe. Nothing here feels crammed together or rushed. Weddings here feel easy and peaceful. Plus, the team is one of my favorites to work with. I can happily recommend this venue to any couple because I know the team will take care of you! The Ingenhuett on High 

The Ingenhuett on High is by far the most historic venue on this list, which gives it such a unique vibe and distinct atmosphere. If you are a lover of history, beauty, and all things vintage, you will love getting married here! Even though it’s technically located in Comfort, roughly 30 minutes from Fredericksburg, this venue is one of the most unique places to get married. It’s a very old building that has served as a general store, bank, and post office. You can actually still access and take photos in the old bank vault! 

Elm Pass Woods

Last, but most certainly not least, is Elm Pass Woods! Located in Center Point, Texas, Elm Pass Woods is designed for the outdoorsy couple.  Their outdoor ceremony space feels like gathering around a campfire, while their (new!) permanent structures mimic the vibe of festival teepee tents. This is such a unique, whimsical wedding venue that captures all the joy of an adult summer camp. And if you’re up for a short hike, the views from the ridge are unmatched.

Honestly, I think Fredericksburg is massively underrated when it comes to weddings! I mean, just look at these wedding venues. There are so many, and they are each so unique. Whether you want something rustic and vintage, modern and luxurious, or cozy and intimate, there’s a venue for you. 

And as someone who has been photographing weddings here for over ten years, there are some truly amazing vendors in the area, too. Couples often think they need to bring everything from Austin or San Antonio to have the wedding they want, but trust me when I tell you that the vendors here are ready and willing to create anything you can dream up!
