Just as you would pick a bouquet at the local grocery store or farmers market, flowers have an undeniable way of brightening any space. From the rise of dried flowers to fresh pops of color, your wedding floral arrangements can be as unique and creative as you. When arranged just so, they allow your dream wedding to bloom before your eyes. Below are a few unique ways to help your special day stand out with swoon-worthy wedding flowers.
Dried wedding flowers have become more and more popular among my brides for their added texture, hardiness and timeless vintage feel. Alyson went the retro route with a playful and warm palette of pink, yellow and white dried florals. I also LOVE that she chose to adorn her bridal party with bridesmaid corsages rather than bouquets. Every floral detail captured Alyson’s distinct vision and the couple’s playful personalities.
If you were unsure if your flowers can really express your individual style, Ana and Michael were also married at Contigo Ranch. But instead of going nostalgic with dried flowers like Alyson and Jonathan’s wedding (shown above), their wedding day was bursting with fresh flowers in pops of pink, orange and yellow. Ana & Michael’s flower choices boldly celebrated the joy and overflowing love of their wedding day.
Your wedding day is one of the most joyful moments in life – a celebration completely dedicated to your love. There’s no reason you shouldn’t go as big and bold and BRIGHT as you like. You want to look and feel radiant, and your wedding flowers can, too! These are just a few ways to fill your day with swoon-worthy and colorful wedding flowers.
Looking for a moodier style or planning a wedding in the fall? Dried flowers are a beautiful choice for darker, deeper color palettes. Becca and Ashley had such a unique style, and it was stunning to see their personalities shine through in every detail of their day – and especially with their dried wedding bouquets. Deep reds, plums, beautifully dried roses, preserved eucalyptus – the rich colors and textures captured all the magic of their one-of-a-kind wedding day.
Can’t decide between team dried or fresh flowers? You can do both! I love the way Nicole chose a mix of fresh and dried flowers, accented with lush greenery, to create a modern feel with a boho twist. And when I say weave, Mountain Laurel’s floral arrangements truly felt like they were organically woven into every aspect of the space. From pampas grass and monstera leaves to fresh blooms – every detail was a work of art. I still don’t think I’ve recovered from the ceiling floral arrangements that hung over the dance floor. Wedding flowers do not get more swoon-worthy than this.

Want to lean into the romance of your love story? For brides going for a more fairytale-esque or woodland boho theme, wildflower-inspired and asymmetrical floral arrangements are an effortless way to add a little whimsy.
So many of my brides are drawn to natural colors and boho-inspired textures, creating a down-to-earth and warm atmosphere for their wedding day. Enter the many shades and hues of terracotta. This color shows up in the fluffy fronds of pampas grass, in lush and warm hues on rose petals, and effortlessly compliments natural greens and pops of white. Whether you go the soft and romantic route like Olivia & Reagan or go more boho like Morgan & Ty, terracotta florals are a truly timeless touch for any wedding day.

Pastel color palettes will never go out of style, especially for spring and summer weddings. You can create a beautiful ombre effect by mixing lighter hues with darker shades. These bouquets and floral arrangements always stun, and can be loaded up for serious flower power statements.
The star of the show doesn’t necessarily always have to be flowers. Fresh and preserved foliage, as well as lush greenery, are a timeless touch to any arrangement. Bundles of eucalyptus, fresh sprays of leaves, strands of fir, and even certain herbs are popular greenery choices for your wedding day. Take it a step further and make green your statement color, like this gorgeous emerald wedding at Sendera Springs.
If you’re wondering how to choose flowers for your wedding day, it’s all a matter of your own unique style and how you want to celebrate. Once you have a theme that expresses your personality as a couple, or a particular feeling you want the day to embody, flowers really are the perfect way to help set the scene. I hope you’ve found some helpful ideas on how to make your wedding day stand out with some seriously swoon-worthy flowers.
