On a mild fall day in November, Brett and Erik, under a floral tapestry of carnation, got married. They say history repeats itself, and as I capture this San Antonio Riverwalk Wedding with these two under their lovely arrangement of flowers, nothing seems more appropriate. White carnations, I am told, are what Erik’s Grandfather would bring to his Wife throughout their life to show his affection. This is just one of several special stories I heard while capturing their wedding day. The epic arrangement of flowers sits as the centerpiece of their ceremony. Standing there in front of friends and family they repeat, in their own special way, history, and I get the privilege of capturing it.
Club Giraud on the San Antonio Riverwalk provided me with a fantastic backdrop to photograph their love story. In between photographs on the riverwalk, couples and families passed by offering congratulations, and one particularly cute little girl whispered to mom “ Is that a princess?” I love sharing moments like this with my couples. It really can be the cute little things in between the big events that can create the most memorable photos.
The classic grand exit gets a unique twist at this venue with the proverbial get away car replaced with the getaway boat. The happy couple exits under a canopy of outdoor lighting. A light rain of biodegradable confetti falls amongst cheers from friends and bystanders as I close out this amazing San Antonio Riverwalk Wedding.
