Surprise Proposal at Garner State Park Texas

James and Molly spend their free time together hiking and exploring state parks all over the USA and Garner State Park is one of their favorites in the Texas Hill country. Loving adventure myself when James contacted me to see if I’d be game to climb to the top of Old Baldy for his Garner State Park Proposal I jumped at the chance!

James had everything planned down to the last detail which made coordinating with me super easy. I started my hike up the “mountain” thirty minutes before they were set to start their own assent with their 3 dogs, yes you heard me right they hiked the mountain with their beloved fur babies. The day was beautiful despite it being a bit over cast. Once I got to the top i scoped out my hiding spot and just waited.

James and Molly arrived led by their three dogs. Once they caught their breath, they found a quite spot to tie up the dogs and set down their packs. They proceeded to the edge of the cliff face and with the beauty of the valley as his backdrop this is where James proposed. She said “yes!”

They laughed, they cried, and she was surprised! The surprises kept coming though because James had also brought not one but TWO changes of clothes for her, a change of clothes for him, and he even remembered to grab her makeup bag so she could do touch ups before photos.

Needless to say this Garner State Park proposal will always be one of my favorites.
