Sarah and Hunter’s Villa Antonia Austin wedding felt like stepping into an editorial spread for an Italian summer romance—elegant and sun-drenched in all the right ways. Set in the rolling hills just outside of Austin, this day was a gorgeous blend of luxe details, emotional moments, and a truly unforgettable party.
From their romantic first look in the Villa’s courtyard to their golden hour portraits around the villa, every detail was curated with heart and beauty in mind. Think: a sleek all-white palette, hints of sage woven through the florals and bridesmaid gowns, and the dreamiest al fresco dinner under string lights and blue skies.
And as if it couldn’t get more magical, they surprised guests with a gelato cart, leis for the groomsmen, an epic sax player, and a DJ that carried the energy from cocktail hour and into the night.
Tucked away in the limestone cliffs of Jonestown (just outside Austin), Villa Antonia feels like a European destination wedding—without ever leaving Texas. With its dramatic archways, balconies, and spacious terraced patios, it’s no surprise this venue stole Sarah and Hunter’s hearts.
It’s easily one of the most romantic and photogenic wedding venues near Austin.
Sarah got ready with her girls in one of the Villa’s private suites & the energy was calm but excited, full of anticipation and little moments of joy (especially all her moments with her mom). Sarah’s getting ready robe was even trimmed with lace from her mom’s wedding dress!
I especially loved when Going to The Chapel came on the playlist and everyone started singing along.
Her florals were a modern twist on tropical, with monstera leaves and delicate ferns woven together with white blooms—a gorgeous balance of chic and exotic. The sage-toned bridesmaid dresses added the perfect touch of color and made the getting ready portraits pop.
Meanwhile, Hunter and his guys were equally stylish and relaxed, donning tropical leis that gave everything a playful, personal flair.
His first look with Sarah in the courtyard? A total heart-melter. The emotion on their faces says it all.
Sarah and Hunter’s ceremony took place on the Villa Antonia terrace—a spacious stone platform overlooking the sweeping Texas Hill Country. We have to take a moment for those florals though, y’all. Jordan Flowers & Events outdid themselves with a floral ceremony arch in a sculptural cascade of white blooms, monstera leaves, and lush greenery. The setting was definitely feeling like a little slice of paradise, elegant, editorial and romantic.
After the ceremony, we wandered through the villa grounds to capture golden hour portraits—and oh dang, did the lighting show up for them.
The warm sun lit up the hilltop views, giving us soft, glowy magic in the background of almost every frame. They couldn’t stop smiling, dancing a little between shots, and stealing those quiet moments just to soak each other in.
It was the perfect balance of editorial and emotional—those “you belong on the cover of a magazine” kind of portraits that still feel like you.
Cocktail hour kicked off with a sax player and a gelato truck in leue of a wedding cake, which gave sweet la dolce vita vibes.
Dinner was served on the terrace under twinkle lights and a bright-blue sky, with the Hill Country stretching out in the background like something out of Tuscany. It was intimate, full of laughter and heartfelt toasts, and just so effortlessly beautiful.
After dinner, everyone moved inside for a next-level dance party. Premier Austin DJ kept the energy high (seriously y’all, there was not a single slow song, like their own personal night club). The vibe was all-out celebration—from the packed dance floor to their final private dance. No one wanted it to end.
“I cannot possibly say enough good things about Leah.
She is talented, professional, hard working, kind, considerate, positive, and uplifting, just to name a few qualities. From the very first phone call with her, I KNEW I was going to go with her just because of her passion and energy and genuine care for her work and her clients. She felt like a friend throughout the whole process.
She was always eager to jump on a call to help plan things out and eagerly attended our final walkthrough so we could create a game plan for all of our shots. On the day of, everyone raved about how much they loved her. Not only is she a great person, but HER PHOTOS OMG. She ensures that she captures it all and does not gatekeep any of them. I would get married again just to have her be my photographer. 1000/10!!!”
If you want a celebration that feels like an Italian destination wedding, Villa Antonia is 100% the dream. Elegant, romantic, and just far enough from Austin to feel like an escape—this venue checks every box.
