Anthony & Prari are an adventurous couple with a flair for all things dark and spooky. Creating and experiencing moments together is what they love most — and you’ll find them going to concerts, Ren Faires and taking trips all over Texas whenever they can. Since Enchanted Rock is one of their favorite hiking spots, it became the perfect backdrop to capture their edgy engagement session with truly magical views of the surrounding Hill Country.
It makes my heart so happy when my couples go all in on making their sessions entirely their own. Prari & Anthony made this Enchanted Rock engagement session unforgettable with their infectious love. I don’t think any of us stopped smiling the entire time.
Even nature was on our side while shooting at Enchanted Rock. A storm rolled in, and we narrowly missed getting poured on. But the low clouds made for some truly epic skies and sunset photos, adding to the moody and majestic theme they were going for.
Prari & Anthony’s wedding color palette is red and black with Prari wearing a custom-made red wedding dress. So for their Enchanted Rock engagement session, she wanted them to wear mostly black. Prari searched for months for the perfect feminine black dress and finally found the one from Bliss Gown on Etsy. She wanted to be able to toss the dress around for lots of dramatic, elegant movement in the photos. Prari even did the whole shoot barefoot (though don’t worry, we did all wear shoes on the hike up). For photos, she put on barefoot black lace sandals that gracefully wound up her leg – the same pair she’ll wear on her wedding day.
Prari had all the feminine badass energy, and Anthony effortlessly complimented her with black slacks and a red silk vest. They looked stunning amongst the majestic granite boulders and standing at the very peak of Enchanted Rock.
“Leah had such a talent for not only bringing out the best angles and lighting for our specific body types and heights, but also made the entire session comfortable and so much fun! I have always had a problem with knowing what to do with my hands and arms in photos as well as how to pose my head and neck, but Leah was right there to help me look my best. She was super excited and supportive and totally here for allowing us to be ourselves and express our love in our own intimate way. You can tell that capturing moments of a couple’s authenticity is her greatest passion. Our Enchanted Rock session was truly magical and enchanted! She was a big reason it was one of the best days of my life.”
Prari
It’s been so beautiful getting to capture these two. I love watching Prari thoroughly enjoy every aspect of getting engaged, being engaged, and planning her dream wedding. Anthony loves her to pieces, and they really are their best selves together.
