Whenever I think of Ana & Michael’s summer wedding, the first thing that comes to mind is radiant joy. The pure happiness of their love and their playful personalities were infused into every detail. The vivid colors, fresh florals, and sweeping Hill Country views created the ultimate colorful and bright summer wedding at Contigo Ranch in Fredericksburg, TX.
Before the ceremony even started, the day was filled with many sweet moments, including a surprise visit from the furriest member of the wedding party. Ana also chose to do not one, but two first looks: one with her dad and one with Michael. If you’re wondering if it’s worth it, get your tissues ready! The photos speak for themselves.
For the wedding ceremony, Ana and Michael chose to say “I do” overlooking the majestic valleys and rolling hills of the countryside. Not wanting to take away from the views, the couple opted for bright floral arrangements set in clear containers, giving a beautiful floating effect to frame the ceremony site.
My couples are always finding creative ways to have a quiet moment on their big day. When so much attention is focused on them, it can be difficult to even sit down and enjoy a meal together. Therefore, Ana and Michael planned a little scenic picnic after the ceremony. This gave them one more moment to soak up the breathtaking views of the bluff and say cheers to forever, just the two of them.
Afterwards, the couple greeted guests on the covered patio of the reception hall. Inside the reception hall, the table settings and floral arrangements stole the show in an array of colorfully chic hues. Everything radiated summertime sweetness – from sky blue tablecloths and naturally woven place settings to the pops of orange, pink, yellow, and white flowers. The reception was the focal point for their colorful and bright summer wedding at Contigo Ranch.
Their theme of radiating love and joy continued when the couple snuck away after dinner for sunset portraits. Hill Country summers are known for their stunning sunsets, and Contigo Ranch offers the perfect backdrop to steal a tender moment (or two) as the sun sinks below the horizon.
Once the sun had set, the party really got started! Ana donned her staple Nike sneakers, readying for a night of all-out revelry. Because it was the Saturday of July 4th weekend, guests of all ages enjoyed the red, white, and blue glow lights and party favors on the dance floor. Paired with a live street band and complimentary cigar rolling, it was impossible not to get swept away in the celebrations.
Lastly, the couple ended the night with a sparkler grand exit. Once they said goodbye to their family and friends, Ana and Micheal rode off in a retro convertible as bright and blue as the summertime sky. It was an iconic getaway and ending note for their colorful and bright summer wedding at Contigo Ranch.
