Butler Park Engagement Austin Texas

I absolutely love this spring Butler Park engagement in Austin Texas. This beautiful park on the Colorado river cuts through the scenic downtown of Austin, Texas. It’s most popular for running, walking, and biking trails. Wide open green spaces leaves ample room for exercising, playing with dogs, and engaging in any number of outdoor activities with friends and family. 

The Austin Skyline is perfectly laid out behind the river and makes a beautiful backdrop for photos. Sunset lights up the cityscape creating a romantic urban atmosphere.

The Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge is a great location in Butler park for views of the Colorado River and the city. Walk across the river with Sand Beach Park and Ladybird Lake-Lamar Beach Metro Park.

Climb to the top of Doug Sahm Hill Summit for views of the whole park including the picturesque lake next to the Liz Carpenter Splash Pad. 

Parking can be challenging as with any city park. If the lot off of Dawson Road or West Riverside is full your next best place is the parking garage for Palmer Events Center. On Sundays parking in the garage is free. Click here for more info on the park.
