If you’re a small business owner, you’ve probably thought a lot about brand photos. Do you need them? Are they worth it? And how do you find a photographer who actually gets you? The process of getting brand photos can feel super overwhelming… but it doesn’t have to! My name is Leah, and I’m a San Antonio brand photographer. I’ve worked with some of the coolest small business owners in the area, and I want to show you that getting brand photos can be both easy and fun—when you work with the right team!

Contrary to popular opinion, brand photos are more than just boring headshots. They’re all about your personality and how you work behind the scenes. They can be action shots, group photos of your team, the list goes on. They reveal the human behind the business, show off your storefront (if you have one), and, most importantly, showcase what you’re like.
Usually, brand photos end up on your website or social media. Not only do they take the guesswork out of knowing what to post, but they’re also the best way to build trust with your online audience. And when your photos align with your brand and energy, they help connect you to the right people in the online space.
Instead of using bland, generic stock images, you can have an entire library of your own “stock” images to use. Think about this: if you were considering taking a pilates class, would you rather see stock photos of some random studio or the one you’re actually going to visit? Which one builds more trust? No matter what industry you’re in, people want to know exactly who they are giving their time, energy, and money to.

Every brand experience starts with a conversation. As a small business owner myself, I know how important it is to click with your photography (pun totally intended). These aren’t just photos of you, but photos that represent the business you have worked so hard to build! You deserve to feel 100% confident walking into your session. That’s why I ask so many questions to get to know you. I want to hear the story behind your business and your vision for it moving forward. want you to share any inspiration you have, or even just a list of things you know you don’t want. From there, I’ll create a style board to narrow down the vibe of your session. And then we can decide on your location!
The location for your brand photos can vary depending on what you do. One of my previous clients is a therapist who works from home, so she wanted to showcase how comfortable and welcoming her home office is! We were even able to incorporate some of the meaningful items she has scattered around. If you are a brick-and-mortar business, then we should absolutely take your brand photos at your storefront! (You can even schedule monthly or quarterly content sessions if you have rotating stock 👀). If you’re a photographer or visual artist, we can rent a studio or get action shots around the city. There is no limit to what we can do!
I approach every branding session as a collaborative experience. I will guide you and suggest ideas, but ultimately it is your decision. No one knows your business the way you do, and my goal is to capture it as genuinely as possible!

Getting your brand photos should be fun and exciting, not stressful and overwhelming. But hey, I still get nervous before my own brand sessions. So take it from someone who gets it: working with the right photographer can truly make or break your experience. This is why I’ve structured my brand photography packages around you. I focus on what you want and need. You don’t have to fit into anyone else’s idea of what your brand photos “should” look like.
With open communication from the very start, I want to build your confidence before you even step in front of the camera. Throughout your shoot, I’m showing you the photos I take so 1) you can see how cool you look and 2) we can adjust your images in real time! If you’re nervous or insecure about something in your photos, we talk about it so I can choose angles and poses that you feel good in. My goal is your comfort and confidence. Because when you feel good about your brand photos, you feel more excited to market your business and start connecting with your dream clients.
So what do you say?
“Anything from headshots, branding, and inventory photos for the website all come from Leah! I never hesitate to call Leah for any and all business-related pictures. She makes a VERY important part of running my business, easy and stress-free. Cannot recommend her enough! I have the opportunity to know multiple extremely talented photographers, but I never hesitate to call Leah for any and all business-related pictures.”
