Rachel and Harry’s love story began as high school sweethearts and holds chapters spread across the globe. So it’s no surprise their Texas destination wedding overflowed with love and the cultures close to their hearts. Their adventurous and easy-going personalities were the perfect fit for all the wanderlust wedding vibes at Elm Pass Woods in Center Point, TX.
The Halloween Costume Party | Camp Comfort
Since it was Halloween weekend and they were all about creating memories, Rachel and Harry threw their guests a costume party in place of their rehearsal dinner. Despite most of their guests flying in for the wedding, their costumes were epic. One set of guests dressed up as Rachel and Harry from their high school homecoming — even wearing the exact same clothes!
The rehearsal dinner was hosted at Camp Comfort in the quaint downtown of Comfort, TX. During the rehearsal, they brought in food trucks to cater the evening, including a local favorite, Conchitas Mexican Fusion.
Iconic Wanderlust Wedding Vibes | Elm Pass Woods
Known for hosting festival-inspired weddings in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, Elm Pass Woods had everything Rachel and Harry dreamt of for their destination Hill Country wedding. It was important to them both that the venue fit their values and vibe perfectly, and they loved that Elm Pass Woods supported minority and women-owned businesses.
From their Scandinavian tipis, lawn games, swings, and a host of unique (and FREE) decor options to choose from, the Elm Pass Woods wedding venue creates an immersive experience that fit their fun, relaxed and wanderlusting ways. Not to mention Alex, one of the owners, is the best day-of wedding coordinator you could ever want. Despite the couple having to plan from states away, she quickly jumped in to make sure their day was as epic as their love.
The Outdoor Wedding Ceremony | Center Point, TX
Woodsy and whimsical with Moroccan rugs, a wooden geometric backdrop, Rachel walking herself down the aisle, pocket squares to honor Harry’s mom – every second was so stunningly true to their love and personalities.
Cocktail Hour | Wanderlust Wedding Memories at Elm Pass Woods
Surrounded by oak trees wrapped with photos of their favorite memories, Rachel and Harry mingled with all their wedding guests. They really wanted their wedding portraits to be less formal. So it was important to them to have their family portraits be of them mingling with loved ones and naturally making memories together.
Sneaking Away for Scenic Hill Country Views
If you haven’t noticed how adventurous and amazing this couple is, look no further than their golden hour portraits with panoramic views of the Hill Country. Rachel was a badass and hiked the entire way in heels, and the photos turned out stunning! Once finished with portrait photos, they took a quiet moment to eat and soak in the scenery.
The Elm Pass Woods Wanderlust Wedding Reception | Dancing Beneath the Trees
Between the one-of-a-kind tipis, trees and twinkle lights, Elm Pass Woods always brings a little storybook magic to the party. As part of the theme for their day, each table was named after a place from their travels. I loved that they wrote little stories for each centerpiece so guests could read about all the places close to their heart. Once they finished their portraits, the rest of the night included first dances, toasts and endless revelry under the Texas stars.
Besides getting married, Rachel and Harry’s focus was to make sure their guests enjoyed their trip to Center Point, Texas. I am honored to have witnessed their love and the love they so deeply share with their guests, which culminated into an iconic wanderlust wedding at Elm Pass Woods. It means so much to have been part of their wedding journey.
